S. Thada Restaurant
Restaurant owners Roy and Pam
2/30 Gadigal Avenue, Victoria Park, Zetland
Tel (02) 9662 2045
This restaurant is in the new building complex at Zetland.
It’s new and scrupulously clean with an open kitchen. Roy the owner welcomed us in his warm shy style and the service was great.
We had Tom Yum Kung, Soft rolls and curry puff for entrée’s. They were all as expected but in particular I though the Tom Yum Kung was the best I’ve had all year and I loved the light flavour and after taste. I should have gotten it as a main. It was delicious tangy and the after taste demanded more….I’m still thinking about it.
For the mains we had Masaman beef and noodles with the Vegetable noodles standing out.
This restaurant is BYO and the closest shop for alcohol needs a drive. As the restaurant has just set up and is new I’d suggest if Roy put some softer yellow lighting in it would further enhance the already friendly atmosphere and service. (And I liked the modern music and the soft volume it was set at).
Another note is they do delivery and the take away traffic for this was brisk and Roy also had a few regulars in.
Entrée’s $4-$7 and Mains $7-$12.
Yes Thai Restaurant
Restaurant owner Kroy
115 Mulga Road, Oatley

Yes Thai at Oatley is blessed with some great dishes and is in a beautiful quiet location that reeks of old fashioned Australia.
Kroy and her staff were just second to none and my wife Meri, 2 year old son Aden and myself would strongly like to thank them for their their sweet sweet hospitality.
We attended on a Tuesday night and the ambiance was enhanced by the friendly chatty locals in for their weekly fix on the Tom Kha Gai. (Tom Yum variation with coconut milk added.) Meri and Aden hogged this delicious dish and Meri stated this was her favourite Tom variation ever. And yes we will return.
We also had Chicken Satay for entrée. For mains, Masaman Beef and Chilli Basil Chicken.
This restaurant has a myriad of dishes well worth a few visits to get across.
In addition Kroy has said she has applied for outdoor seating. It would only be 2-4 table’s and will certainly enhance and drive more locals in more often to this already ambient restaurant with lots of local custom. For us this is one of the bouquets pick for Thai food we have been to. Also Id like to suggest that this would be a great restaurant for couples and first dates where you want to get to know each other without any interruptions…..it just has that atmosphere.
Cheers and Thank you Kroy and staff.
